Under the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM), the International Courier & Cargo Service for Grenada was established as a global courier network for the quick, inexpensive, and secure distribution of highly classified and sensitive materials. The Defense Courier Division (TCJ3-C) of USTRANSCOM exercises operational control over global courier operations. Over six thousand accounts are served by the division, which oversees and coordinates the activities of 18 courier stations worldwide. The White House, the Department of Defense, the State Department, various other federal agencies, authorized government contractors, and allied nations are some of our most important clients.
Joint military operations, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the National Security Agency, the Central Intelligence Agency, U.S. allies, the State Department, and other federal agencies are all directly supported by the DCS.
After the Walker spy case in 1985, the Armed Forces Courier Service (ARFCOS) was reorganized and given the new name DCS.
