Nepal's national airline is Airlines Corporation, formerly Royal Nepal Airlines. It is the nation's oldest airline, having been established in 1958. The airline provides medium-haul services throughout Asia and domestic services within Nepal from its primary base at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. A Douglas DC-3 was the airline's first aircraft, and it was used to fly to a few Indian destinations and domestic routes. In 1972, the airline bought its first Boeing 727 jetliners. The airline will have seven aircraft in operation as of July 13, 2020. The airline has been on the European Union's list of banned airlines since 2013.
