Turkey's national flag carrier airline is Turkish Airlines. It will be the largest mainline carrier in the world in terms of the number of passenger destinations it serves as of 2022 because it will offer scheduled services to 340 locations in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas. The airline flies to 126 countries, more than any other airline, and serves more destinations nonstop from a single airport than any other airline in the world. The airline's cargo division, Turkish Cargo, serves 82 destinations with a fleet of 24 cargo aircraft.

On the grounds of Istanbul Atatürk Airport in Yeşilköy, Bakrköy, Istanbul, the Turkish Airlines General Management Building houses the airline's corporate headquarters. The airline has secondary hubs at Ankara Esenboa Airport and Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport, in addition to Istanbul Airport in Arnavutköy. Since April 1, 2008, Turkish Airlines has been a Star Alliance member.
