International Courier & Cargo Service For Zimbabwe

Zim Integrated Shipping Services Ltd., more commonly referred to as ZIM, is one of the top 20 global carriers and a publicly held Israeli international cargo shipping company. Israel's Haifa serves as the headquarters of the business; Since 2021, ZIM has been listed on the New York Stock Exchange. It was founded in 1945. It operated under the name ZIM Israel Navigation Company from 1948 to 2004.
On June 7, 1945, the Jewish Agency, the Israel Maritime League, and the Histadrut—the General Federation of Laborers in the Land of Israel—established ZIM as the ZIM Palestine Navigation Company Ltd. In 1947, a partnership with London-based Harris and Dixon purchased the first ship. In the summer of 1947, this vessel was refurbished and given the new name SS Kedma before sailing to the eventual state of Israel. The company was renamed ZIM Israel Navigation Company Ltd. after the State of Israel was established in 1948. During its early years, its primary function was to transport hundreds of thousands of immigrants to the newly formed state. Before Israel became a state, some of the other ships that were used for shady immigration were taken by the British Mandate authorities and later joined the company's fleet. The SS Negba, SS Artza, and SS Galila were among the additional ships that the business continued to acquire.

The company was the only maritime connection between the Palestinian War of 1947–1949 and the State of Israel, supplying food, freight, and military equipment.
